This is a wonderful review you have here Jay! I agree that Wealthy Affiliate isn’t for everyone, you need a great deal of discipline to create and run a successful business like this, and if someone is looking to make their bills disappear in the blink of an eye, then they should look else where. It is true that no one will do it for you, and you won’t be wealthy overnight – but if you set realistic financial goals for yourself, follow each step and ask for help when needed, you will be able to successfully work from home! And the more your business grows the more your wallet will grow as well 😉

A common tactic for affiliate marketers is to make an affiliate product selection first, and then research the niche. Instead, try to find a great niche first before you look into your affiliate product selection. A good niche will usually have various quality products you can promote, allowing for split testing and commission negotiations with the vendor. Sometimes an affiliate campaign will fail for no clear reason, but choosing a profitable niche first allows you to change course and turn it into a winner.
Another niche you may find it difficult to succeed in is a niche that you don’t like or care about. Further along, once you have a few websites in different niche’s working for you, you will probably start outsourcing some or even most of the work. In that case, any niche is fine. However, if it’s your first or even second website it’s going to be tough if you’re going after something that doesn’t interest you. This happened to me when I started out. I usually don’t share publicly all the niches I’m in or working on (it can take a lot of research sometimes to find a non-competitive niche), but one that I started out in was sleep aids. I also started one with swag for a TV character. But I wasn’t particularly interested in either and I lost interest to be honest. I may revive them one day but just outsource the content… but anyway my main point was that it’s tough to start out and succeed in a niche you don’t care about.

You can then earn money through all kinds of programs. Amazon is one, Clickbank is another… but there is also Shareasale, Etsy, and niche specific affiliate programs like guitarworld (I was helping someone in this niche last year and I think that’s what the company was called), and there were also online guitar courses that paid very high commissions. Even companies like Apple, BestBuy and Home Depot have affiliate programs.

The products and industry you choose to market in are endless. Amazon alone is estimated to have 235 million different products available for you to market. And there are tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of companies that have their own affiliate programs. From Home Depot and Microsoft, to firms that offer online legal services and companies that sell video games.

Access to a computer, spreadsheet software (Excel or Google Spreadsheets), an email account, and an eager and open mind! Additionally, I ask that you have at least some online following already. It can be a small one, but you shouldn't be starting from scratch when getting access to this course. If you're not sure what your business is about yet, that's the most important thing to figure out first!
While Google has been the key driver of organic traffic and sales for affiliate marketers over the years, most now realize and understand the importance of Email Marketing in this business. Without a good email marketing strategy, relying on just Google is not the best strategy according to masters of the trade. That’s why we feature this all important course created by Bryan Guerra in this list. Having taught more than 80,000 students online, Bryan is the best guy to spill the beans on this subject. Let us find out what his course is all about.
JVZoo’s strength is that it allows experienced marketers to gain access to product launches and a huge range of online courses while setting up sales funnels and customized landing pages. It’s definitely not for someone who wants to monetize a blog or earn money by having users click through and buy physical products. If you’ve carved out a strong presence online in the marketing space, JVZoo might be a perfect fit.

From the very start until now, my experience with Wealthy Affiliate was and is just wonderful. I'm not so young anymore and I tried a lot of other affiliate platforms but they were just not good and what most bothered me about them was their upsells. Not with Wealthy Affiliate, you get what you paid for. The community is wonderful, when I'm not sure about anything I just have to ask and I will get my answer promptly. The tools that you get to use are superb and you can grow your online business without a hitch. I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate to anyone who wants to better their lives, it's worth it.
Online advertisers can collect data on their ads' effectiveness, such as the size of the potential audience or actual audience response,[19]:119 how a visitor reached their advertisement, whether the advertisement resulted in a sale, and whether an ad actually loaded within a visitor's view.[59][60]:59 This helps online advertisers improve their ad campaigns over time.
If you have a large following on social media or other online platforms, but you don’t have an email list, you’re living very dangerously. I’d highly recommend focusing first on building your email list from your following, because at any moment you could lose access to those followers, even if it’s not your fault. Your account could get hacked, suspended, or the platform itself could go away.
Lol, sorry about that 😀 I can totally relate to your question Darrin. This was a really big concern of mine as well. But it’s also one you don’t have to worry about. Your website is built on WordPress (which you do NOT pay for) and is not owned by Wealthy Affiliate in any way. Although you can host your website with Wealthy Affiliate, you don’t have to. You can build it there and move it to another host later… or you can build it somewhere else right from the start if you’d like. It’s a common misconception that Wealthy Affiliate is like a middleman between you and your business. This is not the case, no more than school is a middleman between you and your job.
Wow, I had no idea that marketing budgets for companies is usually around 10%; that’s pretty large! If that’s the case, then it is really obvious to me that it is a really important part of advertising. However, if you had to choose just one area of marketing to invest your money in, it would probably be a good idea to work on your website. Since that will be visited by potential clients, you need to be sure that the site looks as polished as possible!
SEO – Another popular method of promoting affiliate products but also the most difficult is Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. SEO doesn’t bring results instantly but it can be extremely rewarding in the long run.
This, is most likely one of the absolutely best courses on building amazon affiliate sites. Trust me, the explanations are extremely in-depth and understandable, I never had any experience in this field but I learned everything with ease and got to work right away thanks to the instructor’s very broad understanding of SEO. This is easily one of the top affiliate marketing courses and I realy thank the instructor for putting together such an amazing course, and sharing it with other people. If you want an A-Z explanation of amazon affiliate marketing, you will not be dissapointed by this course! – Beleuta Teodor
Over the last 20 years, I have seen lots of training courses. I agree with most of your experts. Site Build It was the first good training course I took shortly after Ken Envoy launched it. I have gone the Affiliorama route and thought it was a good program for beginners. At the time I took the course, there weren’t many options for niches. I have heard good things about Chris Farrell’s program but personally have not taken it. Wealthy Affiliate is by far the best program. Members learn to build an online business regardless of the niche(s) they select. Wealthy Affiliate also has a very strong support system in place. The active community of members means people can get their questions answered quickly.
Hi, Jamie! Very good list. I needed something like this for 2018 so that I know what to target in the future blogs I create. As for now, I’m comfortable using SiteGround affiliate network and it’s pretty good actually. Their hosting service is pretty much the best considered its price. I’ve tried others but SiteGround stands out. I’ll also try new affiliate networks, something from the list you have just provided. I think Amazon is too saturated at the moment, and I need a better network. 2018 will be interesting indeed.
A U.K. based dating affiliate network that operates a number of mainstream and niche dating sites, including Cupid.com, Flirt.com, BoomerDating.com and PlanetSappho.com. You can promote any of these sites based upon the needs of your audience, and with so many sites to choose from, it’s pretty easy for most affiliates to find at least one or two that are a good fit. Commission rates at Cupid plc can be impressive, too, with $15 paid just for free sign ups, and up to 90 percent commission paid on paid memberships.
